Hail and well met to our fellow guild members.


With great pleasure, I would like pleasure to officially announce that our guild will be making the transition from being just a a WoW-exclusive guild to a full blown premiere online gaming community.

Alea Iacta Est has become much more than a guild in World of Warcraft. AIE as a gaming and social entity has expanded into Facebook, Twitter, Steam and in the near future Battle.Net. This community's members continually push the envelope of social media by actively adopting new social media venues. As it has been widely quoted amongst our members, "Twitter is our gchat."

Currently the guild officers with the support of Scott, Randy and Veronica are busy laying down the foundation and focus of the community with an emphasis on the following tenets:

The overall goals of the AIE Online Gaming Community

• Create a positive gaming culture for our members
• Review, analyze and provide opinions on the state of gaming via member/user generated content
• Create a structure where our members can become better educated and informed regarding the gaming industry, products and services
• Provide feedback to any gaming organization who cares to form a partnership with us
• Create extensions of our community into select games so that our members can have a positive experience within those games
• PWN face

On top of that we hope to foster a network of volunteer "gamer journalist" within our community. We do so in order to better educate and inform ourselves about new titles, expansions, culture and services and provide trustworthy feedback that we believe is sorely lacking from much of the existing and established gaming media outlets.

With this of course comes an expansion of what we are currently doing with the guild site. We will be expanding its scope as it will be reporting on what our members are doing on the following game networks.
