Yes, we know it's not Warcraft related but everyone of us here had their little hearts all a flutter after seeing the official trailer.  This movie single handedly guaranted that at the very least this geek could not resist the path of nerdom.  So please enjoy.

Introduction and explanation of meeting format and rules

State of the guild

How we can improve "public" perception of AIE on Earthen Ring

  • How can we make a concerted effort to improve perception?
  • How can we get the word out to all AIE members to show respect and set a good example even in the face of insults and ignorance?
  • Ahundred positive interactions is ruined by just one bad one.
  • How we as a guild react to complaints.

Are there any plans to update the AIE Call to Arms mod?

Gchat

  • Standardization of policing
  • Wintergrasp announcements in Gchat
  • Discussion about people generally spamming /g for their meet-ups, events, etc. Stuff that's not official Guild business but arranged by individuals sometimes seems to be taking over /g

A note about Blizzard authenticators

  • There has been a lot of misinformation about the Blizzard authentication system so here are the facts.

New AIE podcast

Ventrillo ettiquette

  • Idle timer in Vent

Could you please elaborate on the use of having other guilds posting their achievements and everything on our forums?

Guild town hall meeting (3/7/10)

When: Sunday, March 7th at 12:00 PM server time
In game location: The amphitheater on the High Rise of Thunder Bluff
In Ventrillo: The Grand Hall

We are pleased to announce what we plan to be the first of many town hall style meetings designed to allow the membership to have a more active role in how the guild functions.

We ask members to please submit their questions for discussion either by responding to the forums post or by e-mailing them to officers@aie-guild.org.

DEADLINE for submitting questions or ideas is no later than Saturday, March 6th at 11:59 PM server time.

An agenda will be posted on the guild site.

Please note that we will attempt to keep the meetings as short as possible (30 minutes for regular guild business and 30 minutes for discussion is our target) and we'll be holding the meeting in a channel where everyone is silenced by default. We'll have one officer un-mute members in turn to ask questions.

Further details about the structure of the meeting will be covered by the moderator at the meeting.

The final boss of VoA has been revealed

Per the EU's Vault of Archavon page it has been announced that the final boss will be none other than Algalon the Observer.

This pretty much guarantees that this boss will not be puggable unless Blizzard decides to hit him with a humongous nerf stick.  This also may answer some of the questions regarding the new mount models that have been data mined

StarCraft 2 released third quarter 2010?

As reported on http://starcraft.incgamers.com.

IncGamers.com reports StarCraft 2 will be released in the third quarter of 2010 if a Razer brand distributor can be trusted.

Calling in on The Instance podcast, the WoW player "Daerys" from the Ravenholt EU server revealed his company "is the official Razer brand distributor and we've been told that the Razer merchandise StarCraft 2 product will be released to coincide with the game."

Now, the company does not "have the exact date yet, but we are expecting it in the third quarter of 2010."

While this could just be some attention-seeker claiming false information, it doesn't sound very far-fetched. A third quarter release seems very likely considering the beta recently started, and they normally don't last a full year. Besides, the Activision-Blizzard conference call revealed both StarCraft 2 and WoW: Cataclysm are planned for 2010.
